Hace casi dos años empecé una búsqueda muy particular. Una odisea gráfica tras las huellas de Joaquín Pertierra, un ilustrador español que labró su enigmática carrera en los años 50, 60 y 70 y que hasta que no me encontré de forma casual con su obra,
era para mí un completo desconocido.
Cuando ya llevaba casi un año tras su pista, publicando mis descubrimientos en un blog titulado EL ENIGMA PERTIERRA, la feliz
casualidad de que Fernando Marías estuviera escribiendo un libro sobre Joaquín y contactara conmigo
me puso en bandeja la oportunidad de descubrir mucho más material sobre Joaquín y documentar de primera
mano una de las trayectorias profesionales más misteriosas y fascinantes que conozco.

Almost two years ago I began a very particular search. A graphical odyssey behind the tracks of Joaquin Pertierra, a Spanish illustrator who built his enigmatic career during the 50's, 60's and 70's, and who was a complete unknown to me, until I accidentally came upon his work.
When I had been following his track for almost a year, while issuing my discoveries on a titled blog untitled EL ENIGMA PERTIERRA, I had the lucky chance to be contacted by Fernando Marias, who was writing a book on Joaquin, which gave me the opportunity to discover further material on Joaquin and to document first hand one of the more mysterious and fascinating professional trajectories that I know.
