CARTOGRÁFICA

La semana pasada tuvo lugar en Madrid la inauguración de CARTOGRÁFICA. Una exposición realmente grande que muestra trabajos hechos por diseñadores gráficos e ilustradores nacidos en Madrid o que vivan y trabajen en ella. Aquí en el blog podéis ver dos de las cinco imágenes mías que forman parte del proyecto y una foto del día de la inauguración hecha por Manuel Bartual. Last week took place in Madrid the launching of CARTOGRÁFICA. A really big exhibition of the works made for graphic designers and illustrators who has born in Madrid or live and work in it.
Here in the blog you can see two of the five images are in the project and one Manuel Bartual´s photo of the opening day.

EL JINETE AZUL

Ilustración hecha para la nueva editorial de literatura infantil "El Jinete Azul". Este dibujo ha sido incluído ( junto con muchos otros de diversos ilustradores) en la edición especial del libro de presentación de la editorial.

Illustration made for the new children´s books publisher "The Blue Rider". This little blue horse was included ( with horses made for other illustrators) in the "special edition publisher presentation book".

FIRMAS EN LA FERIA DEL LIBRO

El próximo Viernes estaré en la FERIA DEL LIBRO DE MADRID firmando los dos libros que he publicado con la editorial "DIBBUKS": "Las Crónicas de Ono y Hop" y "Cinco Lobitos".

Next Friday I´ll be in MADRID´S BOOK FAIR signing the two books I published with "DIBBUKS": "The Ono and Hop Chronicles" and "Five Little Wolves".

Este libro infantil es la segunda parte de "Escuela de Superhéroes", un libro que ilustré hace algún tiempo y en este caso, he vuelto a hacerme cargo de las ilustraciones.

This children´s book is the second part of "Escuela de Superhéroes", a book I illustrated some time ago,I made the illustrations again this time.

FIRMAS Y EXPOSICIÓN DE JEKYLL EN EL SALÓN DE BARCELONA

El próximo fin de semana, Santiago García y yo estaremos en Barcelona durante el SALÓN DEL COMIC firmando nuestro libro "El Extraño caso del Dr. Jekyll y Mr. Hyde". Además en la librería UNIVERSAL tendrá lugar una exposición con algunos de los originales de este libro.

Next weekend Santiago García and myself will be in Barcelona during the SALON DEL COMIC signing our book " Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde". Also, in UNIVERSAL bookstore, takes place an exhibition of some of the original artwork of this book.

LA PRINCESA Y EL TOPO

La gente de "El Zorro Rojo" acaba de editar "La princesa y el Topo", un cuento cuyas ilustraciones hice hace algunos años. Este mismo cuento fue editado originalmente por "L´Abadía de Montserrat" en catalán.

The people of "El Zorro Rojo" just have to edit "La Princesa y el Topo" a book wich illustrations I did severals years ago.
The same book was originally edited by "L´Abadía de Montserrat" in catalan languaje.

MI EXPOSICIÓN EN "LA NUEZ"

TAZAS SOLIDARIAS

El pasado fin de semana estuve en Cáceres invitado por el "17 Festival de Cine Solidario de Cáceres" .El motivo es que hice una ilustración, basada en una película española, para una de sus "tazas solidarias". Elegí "AZULOSCUROCASINEGRO" de Daniel Sánchez Arévalo. Los otros cinco ilustradores invitados eran Juan Berrio, Ed, Clara Tanit, Alberto Vázquez y Pepo Perez.

Last weekend I went to Cáceres invited by the "17th. Solidarity Movies Festival" . I made an illustration for a mug: a drawing based on a spanish movie. I chose "AZULOSCUROCASINEGRO" a film by Daniel Sanchez Arévalo.
The others five illustrators invited are Juan Berrio, Ed, Clara Tanit, Alberto Vázquez and Pepo Perez

10 LIBROS ILUSTRADOS

El próximo Jueves 4 de Febrero inauguro una exposición titulada "JAVIER OLIVARES. 10 LIBROS ILUSTRADOS". He escogido para esta ocasión 10 de mis libros favoritos, tanto de ilustración infantil como álbumes de historieta, y expondré material diverso de cada uno de ellos: bocetos, originales y cuadernos de trabajo. Se podrá ver hasta el próximo 23 de Abril en Madrid.

Next Friday, February 4th, I'll hold an exhibition entitled "JAVIER OLIVARES. 10 ILLUSTRATED BOOKS".
I have chosen for this occasion ten of my favourite books, illustrated as well as comic books, and I will show a wide range of materials from each: preparatory designs, originals and sketchbooks.

El "Cagatió" es una antigua tradición catalana. Estas navidades podéis ver una exposición colectiva sobre ello en la librería "Abracadabra", organizada por la gente de "Ilustation".Esta es mi ilustración para esta exposición. Podéis ver mucha información y fotos sobre este evento aquí y aquí.

The "Cagatió" is an ancient catalan tradition. This christmas you can see a collective exhibition about it in the "Abracadabra" book shop, organizad by the people of "Ilustation". This is my illustration for it. You can check a lot of information and photos of this event here and here.

CALENDARIO COESIA

Cada año, la empresa italiana COESIA publica un calendario con doce ilustradores de todo el mundo. Este año, España era el país invitado y Pablo Amargo, Arnal Ballester, Luci Gutierrez, Javier Serrano, Pep Montserrat, Javier Zabala, Ajubel, Elena Odriozola, Carmen Segovia, Isidro Ferrer, Cesar Fernández Arias y yo mismo hemos sido los ilustradores. Este es mi trabajo: "Octubre: Seguridad en el transporte".


Each year, the Italian company COESIA make a calendar with twelve illustrators of all the world.
This year Spain was the guest country and Pablo Amargo, Arnal Ballester, Luci Gutierrez, Javier Serrano, Pep Montserrat, Javier Zabala, Ajubel, Elena Odriozola, Carmen Segovia, Isidro Ferrer, Cesar Fernández Arias and myself are the illustrators.

"My First illustrated History of Spain", is a collective children's book, published by MOLINO, with the works of Alberto Urdiales, Álvaro Manzanero, Bartolomé Seguí, Carmen Martín Baroja, Eva Vázquez, Fermín Solís, Fernando Llorente, Francisco Solé, Isaac Bosch, Javi Kintana, Joaquin Lopez Cruces, Miguel Navia, Raquel Catalina y Sara Manzano.

Mis dibujos corresponden a los cuentos "Berenice" y "El Entierro Prematuro".
